The young American author and journalist Mark Engler will fill the final slot of the Spring edition of the Ottawa International Writers Festival.
Angler is the author of This Is an Uprising: How Nonviolent Revolt Is Shaping the Twenty-First Century, (co-authored with his brother Paul). The book looks at how such events erupt on to the political arena and it also examines the work of figures such as Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.
Engler will be at Christ Church Cathedral on April 29 at 8:30 p.m.
