The Motown legend Diana Ross will be performing at this fall’s NAC Gala on behalf of the National Youth and Education Trust which provides youth and education programming across the country. It also supports masterclasses, online activities and youth programming for dance and theatre, as well as donating tickets to children who might otherwise be unable to afford to attend performances at the NAC.
Ross is famous for her work with The Supremes and as a solo artist and as an actor, will perform a 75 minute set with the NAC Orchestra conducted by Alexander Shelley.
The annual gala will take place on Oct. 3. Tickets go on sale April 9.
In the past performers such as kd lang, Paul Anka, and the pianist Lang Lang have performed in the event.
Proceeds from the 22nd annual NAC Gala will support the National Youth and Education Trust which provides youth and education programming across Canada.
The evening will include a pre-concert reception.

Funds are raised through ticket sales, sponsorship and donations.
In her storied career that began in Detroit’s North End, Ross has 14 top 10 albums, 18 No. 1 songs and music sales exceeding 100 million units. She was back on the Billboards charts this past year with a remix of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough nd numerous awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
